Infrared Reflective GlassGlass can be easily penetrated by infrared light (heat radiation). Normal glass can only reflect UV rays, whereas heat radiation can pass through virtually unhindered. Only by providing the glass with a special coating based on a silver alloy can a large amount of the long-wave infrared light be reflected. This means in particular that the amount of heat radiated to the passenger when the sun is shining into the vehicle is noticeably reduced. |
